We were thrilled to complete a full renovation of The Merry Harriers pub in Hambledon, Surrey, within an impressive three-week timeline. This extensive project included a thorough upgrade of the property, starting with external repairs to the timber windows and treating the stone walls with specialist paint to preserve and enhance the pub’s historic character. Inside, the ladies’ and gents’ toilets were fully refurbished, and structural changes were made, including removing walls, installing a new heating system, and performing a complete rewire. Lime plaster was applied in most areas to allow the walls to breathe, while modern multi-finish plaster was used in newer sections. Additionally, some internal walls were stripped of paint to reveal the stunning original brick and stone finishes.
The bar area underwent a striking transformation, with the old bar removed and services relocated to make way for a new bespoke bar design. The interiors were completely reimagined, featuring custom joinery, fresh decoration, and repaired subfloors to accommodate new flooring that was sanded and sealed to blend seamlessly with the original. Upstairs, the four bedrooms with en-suites were fully redecorated to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests. This project showcases our commitment to delivering high-quality renovations that honor the heritage of beloved local landmarks while creating spaces that are modern and functional.
